A new specialist logistics recruiter is already boosting its team to meet continued market demand.
Innovate Talent, which is a division of Innovate Freight – a specialist IT consultancy for freight and logistics, has welcomed Kate Edmonds as a Talent Resourcer to help place candidates into permanent roles within the logistics sector.
It comes as the Logistics UK’s 2023 report released in June highlighted how 227,000 logistics businesses employ 1.8 million people across the UK, meaning the sector continues to have a vast range of employment opportunities.
Kate joined Innovate Talent founded by logistics entrepreneur Richard Litchfield in November and has already established herself as a valued member of the team.
She has almost two years of experience within recruitment and logistics. Kate chose to stay within the logistics sector due to its diverse and innovative nature, making it a great long-term career option for workers.
Innovate Talent helps businesses hire for logistics roles in the widest sense, including jobs within operations and sales.
The new division has been born out of lived experiences of the difficulties of hiring the right people. Richard said: “We are delighted to welcome Kate to our growing Innovate Talent team. It comes at an exciting time for the logistics sector, which continues to grow.
“Her expertise within both logistics and recruitment will allow us to expand while maintaining our specialist understanding of our clients.”
Mark added: “Kate has been a great addition to Innovate Talent so far and her eye for a great CV has been an invaluable asset to us. We’re excited to see how Kate develops in her new role as well as help guide her professional development.”
Kate said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to work in the logistics sector and I’m thrilled to join the Innovate Talent team.
“The team are incredibly knowledgeable about the industry and are passionate about focusing on the quality, not the quantity of CVs that we give to businesses.
“It’s been fantastic to work in a role where I can utilise my experience, but also continue to develop my knowledge of the logistics sector.”
Innovate Freight also recently announced its sponsorship of the government-backed initiative Generation Logistics – an initiative to find and engage the next generation of logistics talent and also highlight the scope of the industry.
